“Global Focus” Classes
Global Focus is a national
organization that partners with churches across the country to
encourage a Biblical evangelistic worldview. These classes help
train and equip members of the church body for service in local and
global missions. Contact the church office for more details on the
locations and times of these classes.
Partnering Together
When a Crossover family member is
sensing that God may be leading them to a mission project, whether
locally or globally, they are encouraged to let the pastors know so
that Crossover can partner together with them in assisting with the
prayer, organization and support they need. This is to be done
through the guidance of the Missions ministry. Each family member
that desires to go out from Crossover, whether it is a church or
individually-organized mission project, can be commissioned before
the church body.
Strategic Missions Partnership
There
are powerful benefits as God’s people work together in partnerships
to proclaim the name of Christ in our neighborhoods and the
nations. Strategic missions partnerships occur when a group in the
church has so bonded with a specific mission field, and the
personnel on that field, that they make an ongoing, long-term
commitment to become a vital and strategic partner with that field.
A strategic missions partnership fits well with Crossover Community
Church’s worldview for missions: reaching the un-reached and
directly involved in evangelism that leads to assimilation,
discipleship and church planting. Some partnerships will form
naturally, while others will be the result of a planned strategy.
The five essentials that need to be in place for a strategic mission
partnership are to have a common covenant vision and statement of
faith; to have a clearly identified field partner; to develop an
involved, praying church core group; to develop a clearly documented
ministry plan; and to be committed to a long-term relationship.
